How to Dub a Video into English in Your Own Cloned Voice

You can speak in the language you are most comfortable with and still publish a video in English that sounds like you. Here is the simple way to do it with LazyEdits Ai.

1. Record or upload your video

Open the app and choose Record Screen & Translate (up to 30 minutes) or Upload & Auto-Dub Video. LazyEdits writes the timestamps from your voice. Small speech-to-text mistakes are fixed by AI, and you can undo any fix.

2. Clone your voice once

Record 20 to 30 seconds of your voice in a quiet room. LazyEdits makes a cloned voice that stays on your account. You can keep up to three voices in your gallery, for example a calm voice and an energetic one. Only clone your own voice, or one you have permission to use.

3. Translate every line

In the Timestamps tab choose English, then press Translate. Every line is translated, and any line that fails is retried so nothing is missed. You can edit a translation by hand.

4. Dub the video

In the Voice tab press Auto-Dub and pick your cloned voice. If an English sentence is longer than the original, that part of the video is slowed down automatically, so no sentence is cut off.

5. Add captions and export

Make captions in English or in your original words, then export. Exporting costs 171 tokens per minute of finished video, or about 192 tokens per minute with dubbing. Manual editing costs nothing.

Try it on your own video. The Free plan gives you the full editor and a generous daily allowance.
